MORE ABOUT VICTORIA INTERNATIONAL BALLET ACADEMY’S HISTORY

Cont’d Victoria Ballet Academy’s day school was registered in 2004, with all its students attending grade 5. In January of 2006, they travelled for the first time to the ballet capital of the world: St. Petersburg, Russia. They visited the Vaganova Ballet Academy, alma mater of Ms. Victoria Mironova and other teachers of VIBA. After that, they travelled to Poland, Finland, Sweden, China, Cuba, and the U.S.A.  At their first competition in Ukraine, in 2006, one of our students obtained the first place in the category of the youngest dancers. In May of 2007, the Academy moved to its second location thus achieving a threefold increase in space as many more students enrolled in the school.  In 2009, three students were invited by the organizing committee of the International Ballet [...]

10th ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE

10th Anniversary Open House Victoria International Ballet Academy is celebrating 10 years of excellence in education and in ballet instruction and we want to share this milestone with the families of our current and future students. On Saturday, May 11 come and have a good time with us at our Anniversary Open House. You will be able to enjoy a beautiful Ballet Performance and Music Concert.  We will have an Art Workshop for children and an Animal Show presented by pirates with a fascinating mix of cuddly and creepy creatures.  There will also be food and drinks for sale. Victoria International Ballet Academy is celebrating its 10th anniversary!

It was 10 years ago when the school was established by Victoria Mironova and Vladimir Demine with the purpose of creating the ideal environment to bring up healthy and culturally rich generations of young people. Classical ballet was chosen as a tool to educate mentally and physically strong children, as well as organized, focused, and ambitious students.  If you are interested in learning what Ms. Victoria Mironova thought and what she shared with her guests on opening day, read her article "About ballet, theatre and the school". Anastasia Loskutov has been accepted into Columbia Classical Ballet Company

Congratulations to our dear  ANASTASIA LOSKUTOV! Anastasia is an alumna of Victoria International Ballet Academy's day school and we are thrilled to hear that she recently signed a contract with Columbia Classical Ballet Company in the  U.S.A.  She will finish upgrading her skills at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia in June 2013 and will be moving to the United States soon after that. Anastasia has already performed on the stage of the Mariinsky Ballet Theatre, in St. Petersburg, Russia, and on the stage of the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, in Ontario, performing in the Nutcracker and other ballets. Anastasia was a First Prize winner of the Odessa International Ballet Competition in Ukraine, in June 2012. She has also represented Canada in international competitions in Beijing, China.
