Consistent class attendance is crucial for dancers’ continuous growth. As children mature, increasing ballet and dance hours is highly recommended to see continuous progress. At VIBA, we’re dedicated to providing all ages with multiple stage performance opportunities throughout the year as part of our student program.

Ballet Classes

01

Kids 3 to 4 years old

Little Ballet Stars

Dedicated to our youngest dancers taking their first steps into ballet education. Focused on igniting a passion for dance and music, we nurture flexibility, impart primary ballet fundamentals, foster musicality, and enhance attention skills. Our dynamic and enjoyable classes ensure that your little ones stay engaged as they embark on their ballet journey.

Suggested attendance: 1 lesson per week (45-50 minutes)

4 to 5 years old

Tiny Tots Ballet

In this ballet class, children concentrate on fundamental movements, stretching, and endurance. They refine feet and arm positions while mastering flexibility through various exercises. Culminating the year, kids grace the stage, presenting their skills to parents and friends at our Gala Concert.

Suggested attendance: minimum 1 hour per week (55 mins)

6 to 10 years old

Junior Ballet Program

In these classes, children continue to emphasize building strong ballet fundamentals while advancing the lesson’s complexity. As students grow, dedicating more time to consistent ballet classes becomes important for achieving ongoing progress.

Suggested attendance: minimum 2 hours per week

Professional_Afterschool_Summer-Intensive-1

11+ years old

Youth Ballet And Dance

In these classes, students are anticipated to possess a stronger grasp of ballet basics and will delve into ballet techniques. Pointe work initiation is also likely around this stage (subject to the teacher’s judgment), and students will engage more actively in ballet productions and performances. Stretching and Contemporary may be introduced as one of the classes being taken in the training program.

Suggested attendance: minimum 4 hours per week. Supplement with Stretching, Contemporary Dance, Character Dance, and or Repertoire

intermediate

12 to 15 years old

Intermediate Ballet and Dance

Students journeys continue with a focus on refining technique and nurturing artistry. Expect to delve deeper into intricate movements, perfect your form, and embrace the elegance of ballet expression. As you continue to master advanced steps and combinations, you’ll cultivate a greater understanding of musicality, body alignment, and stage presence.

Suggested attendance: minimum 5 hours per week supplement with Stretching, Contemporary Dance, Character Dance, and or Repertoire

Pre-Professional Ballet And Dance

Geared towards dedicated students, these classes provide rigorous training in technique, artistry, and performance. With an intensified focus on pointe work, students also engage deeply in ballet productions and on-stage performances.

Suggested attendance: minimum 7.5 hours per week. Supplement with Stretching, Contemporary Dance, Character Dance, and or Repertoire

PRO PROGRAM

Professional Ballet And Dance

Dedicated to fully committed students. Daily ballet and dance classes, meticulously tailored to refine your ballet technique, elevate artistry, and polish performance skills. With a laser focus on mastery, students are immersed in an environment that nurtures your growth as a true professional dancer.

Suggested attendance: 15+ hours per week. Supplement with Stretching, Contemporary Dance, Character Dance, and or Repertoire

Private

5+ years old

Private Training

Experience personalized one-on-one training with our expert teachers. Receive focused attention and tailored instruction to achieve specific goals, whether refining technique, enhancing movement cleanliness, or mastering particular variations. Our dedicated teachers specialize in working with dancers, gymnasts, figure skaters, and competitive performers.


Student’s journeys continue with a focus on refining technique and nurturing artistry. Expect to delve deeper into intricate movements, perfect your form, and embrace the elegance of ballet expression. As you continue to master advanced steps and combinations, you’ll cultivate a greater understanding of musicality, body alignment, and stage presence.

Stretching & Conditioning

A dedicated class, following ballet methodologies, designed to enhance full-body flexibility, condition muscles, and boost core strength.

Pilates

In this class, students have the opportunity to work with Pilates certified trainers in a machine-free Pilates class. Pilates promotes strength, stability, and flexibility by developing the body through muscular effort originating from the core.

Contemporary Dance

A fusion of ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical styles, where students explore floor work, improvisation, dynamic movements, and choreography to develop a versatile and expressive dance repertoire.

Character Dance

Character Dance is the selective incorporation of folk dance movements and styles, used to create divertissements in classical ballet stories. This specialization is taught as an integral part of the classical ballet curriculum.

In this class, students can expect to learn choreography from various classical ballets, including variations and group dances.

Professional_Afterschool_Summer-Intensive-1

Pointe

Pointe classes are integrated into our ballet curriculum for students who have attained the requisite skill level. Intermediate Adult Ballet Students also have the option to participate in pointe classes. In these sessions, dancers engage in exercises specifically designed to enhance leg strength and refine technique.
