Founder of our School and Artistic Director
Ms. Mironova’s remarkable ballet journey began in 1977 when she graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. Under Natalia Dudinskaya’s guidance, she honed her skills before joining the Mikhailovsky Theatre, amassing over 21 years of professional experience. In 1995, after four years of university studies, she earned a degree in teaching choreography using the Vaganova syllabus. In 2003, she founded the Victoria International Ballet Academy and Company, sharing her Vaganova expertise in Canada. Today, she serves as Artistic Director, Teacher, and Choreographer, shaping the future of ballet.

From 1971 to 1977, Ms. Dmitrieva studied at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. She danced as a ballerina at the Mikhailovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre in St. Petersburg for 25 years. In 2001, following five years of university studies, she graduated from the Choreography and Teachers’ Department of the Vaganova Ballet Academy with a Master’s Degree. Elena has held the position of senior choreographer and coach at the academy since 2004.

Naira Ramazanova’s ballet journey started at the National Ballet School in Baku. Her exceptional talent led to a place at the Azeri National Opera and Ballet Company in 1993. In 1995, she represented Azerbaijan at the prestigious Vaganova-Prix Dance Competition in St. Petersburg, earning an honorary diploma. She became a principal dancer two years later, earning critical acclaim. After an honors Teaching Training Program, she joined the National Ballet School of Canada staff in 2009, mentoring young dancers. Naira is also a certified Pilates Instructor since 2022.

Liza Lordski is a 2011 graduate of Victoria International Ballet Academy’s full-time professional program, furthered her training at the Vaganova Ballet Academy and Kyiv State Ballet School. She joined Moscow State Ballet Theatre in 2014 and became a Principal Dancer at Victoria Ballet Company the same year. In 2015, she pursued Pedagogy and Choreography at the University of Theatre Arts in Moscow. Upon her return to Canada, Liza has taught ballet, character, and repertoire at Victoria International Ballet Academy and completed a Business Administration diploma at McMaster University. She has managed the academy since 2019 and assumed the role of academy director in 2023.

Kirill embarked on his dance journey at Victoria International Ballet Academy’s Professional Program in 2005. He’s trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Modern dance, achieving gold medals in competitions in Canada and the USA. Kirill’s professional path includes dancing at Canada’s Ballet Jorgen and the renowned National Ballet of Canada, performing under the guidance of choreographer John Neumeier. He also served as a principal artist with the Victoria Ballet Company.In 2017, he graduated from the Toronto Film School and showcased his talents in dance and acting on Netflix’s “Tiny Pretty Things” and the “Bridgerton Immersive Experience” in Toronto, Canada.

Jenna’s passion for dance ignited at VIBA when she was just 9 years old. In 2019, she completed VIBA’s Pre-Professional Ballet Training Program and contributed her talents to numerous Victoria Ballet Company productions. Since 2019, Jenna has been a valued guest dancer for VBC.

Irylenna is currently enrolled in VIBA’s Professional Ballet Program and has been an active participant in multiple VBC productions. She is dedicated to her training to become a teacher for our young dancers.

Marcella is presently enrolled in VIBA’s Pre-Professional Ballet Program. She’s actively taken part in numerous VBC productions and is actively undergoing training to instruct our young dancers.

Director and School Principal
Mr. Vladimir Demine is the co-founder of VIBA and has been the Principal of the school since its beginnings in 2003. Before coming to Canada he practiced law and worked as a judge of the peace. Before the opening of the Academy, Mr. Demine was appointed, at the request of the Minister of Health, Director of the Ontario College of Pharmacists by order of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. He served as a member of the public advisory committee for the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services.
