VIBA’s Summer Ballet Intensive focuses on developing well-rounded dancers through daily, intense training in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Stretching & Conditioning, and Repertoire.
Students have the opportunity to work with some of Toronto’s best ballet and dance teachers and guest artists! Our three-week intensive wraps up with a Dance Showcase for participating students.
Our Summer Intensive 2025 program will take place from August 5-22. This exclusive series of Master Classes is designed for dancers aged 12 and above with prior ballet training experience. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn from renowned Canadian and international ballet stars. These classes offer a rare and invaluable chance for ballet students to learn from industry-leading professionals, allowing them to elevate their skills and technique to the highest level. Our guest teachers will provide expert guidance, focusing on ballet technique, artistic skills and execution, in each class.
Ms. Mironova’s remarkable ballet journey began at the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1977. After graduating, she was invited to dance for the esteemed Mikhailovsky Theatre, where she dedicated over 21 years of her career. In 1995, she earned her degree from the Pedagogical Department of the Vaganova Academy and went on to found the Victoria International Ballet Academy and Victoria Ballet Company in 2003, based in Toronto, Canada. Presently, she holds the positions of Artistic Director, Teacher, and Choreographer, inspiring the next generation of Canadian and international dancers.
Principal Ballet Teacher and Academy Director
Liza Lordski is a 2011 graduate of Victoria International Ballet Academy’s full-time professional program, she furthered her training at the Vaganova Ballet Academy and Kyiv State Ballet School. She joined Moscow State Ballet Theatre in 2014 and became a Principal Dancer at Victoria Ballet Company the same year. In 2015, she pursued Pedagogy and Choreography at the University of Theatre Arts in Moscow. Upon her return to Canada, Liza has been teaching Ballet, Character, and Repertoire at Victoria International Ballet Academy and she completed a Diploma in Business Administration from McMaster University. She has been the Manager of the Academy since 2019 and assumed the role of Academy Co-Director in 2023.
Academy Director, Principal Ballet and Contemporary Dance Teacher, Senior Choreographer
Kirill embarked on his dance journey at Victoria International Ballet Academy’s Professional Program in 2005. He’s trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Modern dance, achieving gold medals in competitions in Canada and the USA. Kirill’s professional path includes dancing at Canada’s Ballet Jorgen and the renowned National Ballet of Canada, performing under the guidance of choreographer John Neumeier. He also served as a principal artist with Victoria Ballet Company. In 2017, he graduated from the Toronto Film School and showcased his talents in dance and acting on Netflix’s “Tiny Pretty Things” and the “Bridgerton Immersive Experience” in Toronto, Canada. Kirill was appointed Co-Director of the academy.
Principal Ballet and Character Teacher, Certified Pilates Teacher
Naira Ramazanova’s ballet journey started at the National Ballet School in Baku, Azerbaijan. Her exceptional talent led to a place at the Azeri National Opera and Ballet Company in 1993. In 1995, she represented Azerbaijan at the prestigious Vaganova-Prix Dance Competition in St. Petersburg, earning an honorary diploma. She became a principal dancer two years later, earning critical acclaim. After graduating with honors from the Teaching Training Program, she joined the National Ballet School of Canada staff in 2009 mentoring young dancers. Naira is also a certified Pilates Instructor since 2022.
⭐️Guillaume Côté: Master classes on August 13, 15, 20, 22.
One of Canada’s most celebrated dancers, Guillaume Côté is a Principal Dancer with The National Ballet of Canada. Born in Québec and trained at Canada’s National Ballet School, he excels in both classical and contemporary roles and is also a renowned choreographer. In 2021, he founded Côté Danse and currently serves as the Artistic Director of the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur. Guillaume’s illustrious career has earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Québec.
⭐️Vladyslav Romashchenko: Master classes on August 6, 8, and Pas de Deux assistant on August 13, 15, 20, 22.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Vladyslav Romashchenko graduated from Kyiv Choreographic College in 2011 and mastered various dance styles. He gained recognition at international competitions and joined the National Opera of Ukraine as a second soloist. During the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, he joined the Hamburg Ballet to support his country through dance. In late 2022, he became an instructor at InStudio at the National Ballet of Canada and has toured extensively, captivating audiences worldwide.
⭐️Jesui Monterrubio: Pas de Deux assistant on August 13, 15, 20, 22.
Jesui Monterrubio’s ballet journey began young, spanning over 11 years of dedication. He trained at Victoria International Ballet Academy and the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance in Mexico City. Enhancing his skills with Gyrotonic® training, Jesui deepened his understanding of the body’s relationship with dance. Learning from talented dancers and directors worldwide, Jesui has been a guest dancer with Victoria Ballet Company since 2019. Beyond the stage, he studies ballet history, repertoire, technique, choreographic styles, and kinesiology. His performances, whether classic or contemporary, bring music to life with heart and soul.
