Ballet Summer Intensive program 2015 will take place from July 27 through August 15 on the premises of Victoria International Ballet Academy (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

This comprehensive choreography program will follow the Vaganova syllabus and will include master classes by renowned international ballet stars and teachers. This year, Irina Zavialova of the National Ballet School of Portugal (former prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg, Russia) will conduct master classes. Aram Manukyan, an internationally renowned ballet star and educator will provide classes at our summer intensive.

Classes will be taught as well by our home teachers, Masters of Education in Vaganova syllabus: Ms. Victoria Mironova, founder of Victoria International Ballet Academy, Ms. Elena Dmitrieva, the senior ballet teacher and choreographer of the Academy, and contemporary dance classes will be conducted by Nancy Greyeyes, a Canadian ballerina and contemporary dancer. Male classes will be offered by Alexander Grigorin, former Bolshoi Ballet dancer.

The program will include stretching, classical ballet, repertoire, pas de deux, male class, and an end-of-program performance with all participants.

We will also offer classes of theatrical make-up, weekend sightseeing trips to downtown Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Ontario lakes.

Daily Schedule

10:00 – Stretching
11:00 – Ballet Technique
12:30 – Lunch
13:30 – Variations
14:30 – Break
15:00 – Repertoire, duet, rehearsals for the final performance

16:30 – End  of the day

The school opens for students’ drop-off as early as 8 am. Late pick-up: 5 pm.
Art lessons, theatrical make up, and photo sessions among other activities will take place on different days throughout these exciting 3 weeks!

3 Week English (ESL) Program

Students who sign up for the 3 Week English as a Second Language Program will receive 10 weekly hours of instruction on campus. A major advantage of our ESL program is that all students are immersed in an English speaking environment and can immediately practice what they have learned in class.
The 10 hours per week program includes 6 hours of classes covering grammar, pronunciation, and writing skills. The other 4 hours will focus on conversation skills and useable vocabulary through a series of interest based and cultural seminars. Students will receive exercises, projects, and handouts for future review and continuous practice of the covered material.


Prices (please add 13% HST to all prices): $450 per week. Home Stay or Dormitory: $450 per week, includes meals and transportation to and from the school. Transportation to and from Toronto Pearson International airport can be arranged for $120 (both ways). International Students participate in Weekend Trips, all at a cost of $300.00 (optional for local students). The 3 Weeks ESL Program is available at a cost of $900 for the entire 3 weeks.


When you choose to stay at our dormitory you will continue the wonderful experience of the classical ballet world. Students stay in shared bedrooms and enjoy a very pleasant and comfortable common space. The back yard is a quiet space surrounded by nature and filled with fresh air. As they finish the daily routine of rigorous ballet training, students can relax and replenish their energies in this harmonious environment, full of nature and comfort. After this summer intensive students will experience growth in their physical ability and their conceptual understanding of ballet.
