Summer has come and gone but the wonderful memories will stay with us forever! 

This summer we had the pleasure of having students from all over the world join our summer ballet intensive program! In addition to local dance students we had dancers fly in from different parts of Japan, Mexico,  and Canada, to train with some of Canada’s top ballet and dance masters. Two fully paid scholarships were given to two talented  dancers from Ukraine who have recently had to leave their homes behind, we were happy to welcome them to our academy and provide  them with a safe space to dance, learn, and keep their dance form. 

Our three-week program included classes such as classical ballet, classical repertoire, pointe class, contemporary dance, character dance, and stretching and conditioning class. A well rounded program designed to challenge dancers and prepare them for a strong dance season ahead. During the summer intensive students also had the opportunity to audition for our professional ballet program (September – June),  as well as upcoming professional productions with the Victoria Ballet Company (Nutcracker, Cinderella). 

We are so happy to see new dancers join our professional ballet division including three dancers from Japan, one dancer from Ukraine, as well as local talented dancers. 

We begin our new dance season 2022/2023 with great motivation, hope, and excitement! Wishing our dancers a wonderful dance year!
