The Academy imposes the policy that the process of education should not be disrupted by competitions and performances. The students of Victoria Ballet Academy rehearse and participate in theatre performances to practice and gain additional skills but not for the sake of competition.

Most successful students take part in trips to different schools and competitions, at different countries. For example, few students of the Academy were honoured to be received at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and the Maryinsky (formerly Kirov) Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, in January 2005. On the way back they visited Warsaw – one of the European capital cities. In June 2006, students of the Academy will visit Vienna – the capital city of Austria – and take part in the international competition of professional ballet schools in the City of Odessa, Ukraine. The Academy has received invitations from other ballet schools of different countries.
