The division of Victoria Ballet Academy, called International Ballet Academy of Canada, provides both professional ballet training and exceptional academics at the elementary and high school levels. The school is located in Thornhill, municipality of Markham, the Greater Toronto Area, in Ontario.
Victoria Ballet Academy was founded in 2003 with the participation and inspiration of Mrs. Victoria Mironova (Evdokimova), M. Ed., one of the most distinguished ballet teachers in Canada. Ms. Victoria Mironova belongs to the second generation of ballet professors who have learned directly from the students of Agrippina Vaganova, the founder of the famous Vaganova syllabus.
The weekend and after-school dance classes cover a broad range of activities such as ballet, character dance, modern and ballet gymnastics. Our program expands children’s talents, develops their physical, social and intellectual skills, educates them in the art of dance, identifies and prepares the most gifted students for the Professional Ballet and Academic Program at International Ballet Academy . The after-school dance classes also provide high-school students registered in Arts Programs with an additional opportunity to earn credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
The Academic Tutoring Program combined with our ballet program provides parents with an alternative and better after-school program option for their children.

Introduction
L’Académie de Ballet Victoria est une école canadienne indépendante qui offre deux programmes exceptionnels (élémentaire et secondaire) et l’entraînement de ballet professionnel. Nous transmettons à nos étudiants les outils et la direction dont ils ont besoin pour maîtriser l’équilibre délicat entre l’art et l’accomplissement académique. Notre mission est d’instruire des enfants pour qu’ils puissent devenir des individus intellectuellement développés, gracieux, prêts pour une carrière de danse professionnelle. Les diplômés partent de l’académie avec un Diplôme d’École Secondaire de l’Ontario ainsi qu’avec un diplôme d’Artiste de Ballet. Après avoir reçu une telle formation, nos diplômés sont prêts à exceller dans toutes leurs tentatives futures.
Nous offrons aussi les classes de danse de soir et de week-end à tous les enfants à l’âge de quatre ans et plus. Les participants peuvent prendre entre un et huit classes par semaine, dépendant de l’âge et du niveau d’entraînement. Le programme de danse de soir couvre une large gamme d’activités, dont le ballet, le jazz, la danse moderne, la gymnastique de ballet.
Les programmes du même type sont aussi disponibles pour les adultes. Notre programme a plusieurs buts : explorer et augmenter le talent d’un enfant, développer les aptitudes physiques, les compétences sociales et intellectuelles, instruire l’art de danser, préparer pour la réussite à l’école primaire, et identifier et préparer les étudiants les plus doués pour le Ballet et le Programme scolaire Professionnel.
Notre Programme de soir est conçu spécifiquement pour cibler les besoins des étudiants de tous les niveaux scolaires. Ce programme comprend aussi le service de tutoriat en différentes matières, y compris les maths et le français. Le programme a plusieurs buts : approfondir la connaissance de Maths et de Science, développer l’imagination, apprendre à penser de façon créative et logique, améliorer la mémoire, préparer les enfants pour une étude créative et indépendante à l’université. Or, de façon générale ce programme renforce les compétences intellectuelles des étudiants et augmente essentiellement leur chance de réussir au lycée en termes de gagner des crédits vers leur diplôme d’école secondaire d’Ontario.
L’Académie de Ballet Victoria était fondée en 2003 avec la participation et l’inspiration de Mme Victoria Mironova, M. Ed., une des enseignantes de ballet les plus distinguées au Canada. Seulement les instructeurs de danse du plus haut calibre enseignent dans nos studios de danse. Notre programme supérieur de danse et une atmosphère d’érudition illustrent les plus hautes normes d’entraînement de ballet offert en Amérique du Nord. Les étudiants sont culturellement et intellectuellement stimulés par leurs accomplissements personnels, leurs exécutions publiques, leurs voyages et leurs concours au Canada et à l’étranger. Les accomplissements de nos étudiants sont le résultat d’un travail dur et minutieux tant de nos enseignants que de nos étudiants.
