The Summer Camp and Intensive Ballet Program at Victoria Ballet Academy has been the most
successful so far. About 100 ballet, dance and active life style fans have attended the
camp and program so far. The school students happily greet newcomers and make them feel
welcome. Every child finds best friends by the end of the very first day at the Academy.
After an energetic lesson of ballet and ballet gymnastics, taught by Ms. Victoria
Mironova, the founder and artistic director of the Academy, and other teachers (Naira
Ramazanova, Anastasia Loskutov, Lisa Mironova), only at the swimming pool time do the
students start feel relaxed. That is necessary, as they have the ballet rehearsal every
day, after swimming. Those who do not feel like having that much, choose art, math and
chess classes. The next Friday, August 14, starting 1:30, the children will have a piano
concert performed for them. Everyone is welcome to attend it free of charge at Victoria
Ballet Academy, 7751 Yonge St, Thornhill, , 905-707-7580.

June 18 – 19 at 6:30 pm

in the great premises of The City Playhouse Theatre. We will perform The Best Ballets and Dances produced and staged by Victoria Mironova, Artistic Director, Choreographer.

The Honourable Peter Kent, M.P., Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (the Americas) and his wife, Mrs. Cilla Kent, visited the Victoria Ballet Academy on Saturday, November 8, 2008. They congratulated the school’s grade 10 students Lisa Mironova, Anastasia Loskutov and Maria Petin with their successful representation of Canada at the 2nd International Ballet Competition in Beijing, China, which took place from October 25th to 31st, 2008. They also expressed their pleasure at the students’ safe return home. Mr. and Mrs. Kent posed for a picture with the school’s students, the school’s Founder and Artistic Director, Mrs. Victoria Mironova, the school’s Principal, Mr. Vladimir Demine and Mrs. Helen Dmitrieva, Teacher and Choreographer.

Our Mayor, Frank Scarpitti, and our Councillor, Valerie Burke, of Markham, Ontario, attended the Open House of the Victoria Ballet Academy during the Thornhill Village Festival on September 20, 2008. Open House on Saturday, Sep 20, 2008, 10:00 am- 2:30 pm

The Thornhill Festival Parade, filled with a variety of music, entertainment and local groups, begins at noon on Centre Street and makes its way south on Yonge St. to Arnold Ave. The Victoria Ballet Academy, located at the south-east corner of Centre St. and Yonge St, hosts the Festival Headquarters. The school is open for visitors and lovers of dance and music. A special ballet concert will be offered to general public starting 1:30 pm. Free admission.

NOTE: Yonge St. is closed to regular traffic from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
