An assessment of the student’s physical and creative potential for the Professional Choreographic Program (grades 5-12, Master classes, and Teachers’ Course) is conducted by our instructors.  No auditioning is necessary for Summer camp, Summer Intensive or Preschool and elementary grades 1 to 4, however, physical and academic screening may be required.

Out-of-country and non-local area children are invited to send a video of their audition. The audition fee is $40.

On Thursday, August 9,Victoria Ballet Academy and Arts and Science Academy of Canada’s students, friends and special guests celebrated the Grand-opening of our new and larger facilities at 7 Bradwick Drive,Concord,  Ontario.  We all enjoyed an opera concert with fabulous opera singers who came from the Bolshoi Theatre, Russia for this special occasion. Of course, we had ballet too.  Anton Korsakov, soloist of the Mariinsky Ballet Theatre and one of the teachers at our Summer Intensive Ballet Program, students and graduate students: Lisa Mironova and Anastasia Loskutov had the opportunity to dance before friends and special guests. Among them we saw Hon. Minister Peter Kent and his wife; Mr. Nikolai Grishko, founder and president of Grishko  Ltd., the most reliable Russian manufacturer of quality dancewear, shoes, costumes and tutus among many other items for all types of dance and his wife; a representative of Mr. Peter Shurman MPP for Thornhill, Mr. Noah Ng who presented the Academy  with a scroll.  Mrs. Wendy Rebanks from Weston Garfield Foundation and also Mr. Andy Mittra from BDC were among many other personalities who accompanied us at this very special occasion.

Dear students and parents,

Our ballet Summer Intensive is the best option for children aged 9 to 19 who are trained in ballet and would like to improve their skills and technique. This program starts on July 23 and continues till August 10. Finest female and male ballet instructors, including international ballet star Anton Korsakov, will teach the students ballet, repertoire, and stage acting. For children aged 4 to 8 we provide Summer Camp from July 2 through August 3 and from August 7 through 24. The camp involves a day of fun activities combined with ballet and stretching. Dear Parents,

We are now accepting registrations for our after-school programs for the period September 2012-June 2013.  We offer an early registration discount until April 30.  If you make one single payment for the total cost of your child’s program (September 2012 to June 2013) you will get one month for free and you will avoid any price increases. Please come to the office to pick up the registration form or call us if you have any questions.

Dear Ballet Students,

Victoria Ballet Company and International Ballet Academy of Canada would like to invite you to our Summer Intensive Ballet Program that will take place from July 23 till August 10, 2012. During our three week program we will choose, from among the best international students, a few dancers who will be invited to participate in Victoria Ballet Company’s staging of the Nutcracker in 2012. If you are chosen you will be invited to come to Canada and participate in the Nutcracker with all the expenses paid by the Company!

Summer camp 2010!

Parents and guardians have started enrolling their children in our eagerly anticipated Summer Camp 2010! ENrolling your child at Victoria Ballet Academy’s Summer Camp is a unique way of strengthening your child’s innate abilities and an inspiration for better personal achievements. Our summer program quickly boosts the physical and social development of children and makes them healthier and more confident.

The camp is located in Thornhill at the intersection of Yonge and Centre streets, right at the Viva Blue bus stop, close to Steeles Avenue, Highway #7, and ETR 407, bordering three of York Region municipalities: Markham, Vaughan and Richmond Hill, and only 5 minutes from Toronto’s northern boundary. It is very close to public transportation, including the GO commuter train.

It includes a special treat on Tuesday where all campers will have a chance to enjoy live organ music and be permitted to try to play it themselves!

The summer camp of the Victoria Ballet Academy is a unique source of strengthening natural child abilities and an inspiration for better personal achievements. Our summer program quickly boosts the physical and social development of children and makes them healthier and more confident.

All children aged 5 to 15 are welcome at the Victoria Ballet Academy during their March vacations. The Mid-Winter vacation of the public schools is scheduled for March 16 to March 20, 2009 – public schools. Private schools may have a different spring break schedule.
