Male Technique Master Class

Our Summer male technique program offers a variety of important aspects for male dancers of all ages! who strive to succeed in the field of classical, and contemporary ballet.
The program will be taught by the well-known dancer, Sergey Basalaev, who has performed various principal roles (Don que xote, Nutcracker, Giselle, and many others.) on the biggest stages in the world. Sergey will teach male technique in a studio individually from the rest, so our males could focus and develop their techniques to the fullest without any mix-ups.
On top of that, Sergey will also teach the boys and girls about partnering skills, from basics to advanced tips and tricks that will aid the dancers in the future.
The dancers will learn about character development for the stage, to improve their presence as a male on stage, along side many other key aspects for male dancers.

Sergey Baslaev

Graduate of the Novosibirsk State Ballet School in Novosibirsk, Russia. Principal dancer and first soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia, of the Boris Eifman Academic Ballet Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, Slovakia, of the Estonian National Opera in Tallinn, Estonia, and of the Grand Theatre—National Opera in Poland.
His classical repertoire included principal roles in “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Giselle”, “Don Quixote”, “La Bayadère” and “La Sylphide”. He has partnered several Prima Ballerinas and principal female dancers of many theaters and companies, on the most renown stages across the globe.
he has cooperated during many years with the national ballet school in Warsaw, Poland, teaching advanced ballet classes. He leads master classes for professional dancers of different ballet companies as well as for students of professional and private ballet schools in Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Poland and Spain. Laureate of many international ballet competitions, he was recognized the prestigious Philip Morris Ballet Flower Award, and the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture—Gloria Artis by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (Poland) for distinguished contributions to the Polish culture in the field of artistic creation and activity.
