Ballet Summer Intensive 2018
Our Ballet Summer Intensive program 2018 will take place from July 23 through August 10 at the premises of Victoria International Ballet Academy (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
This comprehensive choreography program follows the Vaganova syllabus and includes master classes with renowned international ballet stars and teachers. We will announce here our guest teachers for 2018.
Classes will be taught by our teachers who have obtained their degrees in Education from the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg: Ms. Victoria Mironova, founder of Victoria International Ballet Academy, and Ms. Elena Dmitrieva, senior ballet teacher and choreographer of the Academy. In 2018 we will also have Elizabeta Mironova, alumna of our academy and professional ballerina (Moscow State Company, Victoria Ballet Company). For male’s class, and duet/partnering class we will have Kirill Lordski, alumnus of our Academy and professional ballet dancer. (Victoria Ballet Company). For 2018 we will have Anna Linnik and Mr. Sergey Basalaev from the National Ballet Theatre of Warsaw, Poland.

- 11:00 – 12:30 Ballet Technique
- 12:30 – 1:30 Lunch
- 1:30 – 2:30 Variations, Character or Contemporary dance
- 2:30 – 3:00 Break
- 3:00 – 4:30 Repertoire, duets, partnering, male technique, rehearsals for the final performance
The school opens for students’ drop-off as early as 8 a.m. Late pick-up: 5 p.m. Art lessons, theatrical make up, and photo sessions among other activities will take place on different days throughout these exciting 3 weeks!
3 Week English (ESL) Program
Students who sign up for the 3 Week English as a Second Language Program will receive 20 hours of instruction on campus. A major advantage of our ESL program is that all students are immersed in an English speaking environment and can immediately practice what they have learned in class.
The program will focus on conversation skills and usable vocabulary through a series of interest based and cultural seminars, grammar, pronunciation, and writing skills.
The program will include stretching, classical ballet, repertoire, pas de deux, male class, and an end-of-program performance with all participants.
We will also offer weekend day trips to downtown Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Canada’s Wonderland among others.
You can apply via an in-studio or video audition. Once you know the results of your audition, you may download your Summer Intensive 2018 Form. Fill it in and send it to us. Dormitory / Home-stay
Subject to availability, you may choose to stay at our dormitory or with a family of one of our students or teachers (Homestay program). At the dormitory, you will stay in a shared bedroom and enjoy a very pleasant and comfortable common space and a quiet and relaxing backyard surrounded by nature. At the end of each day of rigorous ballet training you can relax and replenish your energy in this harmonious environment. After this Summer Intensive you will experience growth in both physical ability and conceptual understanding of ballet.

The Home Stay or Dormitory fee includes meals and transportation to and from the school. Transportation to and from Toronto Pearson International airport includes supervision during check-in at the airport
