Our Professional Ballet Program offers systematic and rigorous ballet training along with academic, social and artistic education. Professional training may begin at the age of 9 or as late as age 11 provided that the child has had previous physical training.

The Victoria Ballet Academy is the ideal environment to cultivate both a child’s love for the art of dance and his or her enthusiasm for learning. We encourage our students to strive for the highest possible results in dance and academics. Our school’s professional choreography program follows the Vaganova Syllabus from the Academy of Russian Ballet in St. Petersburg. We adhere to the 300 years of superior standards set by this renowned academy which has produced some of the world’s most accomplished dancers.

The academic portion of the Professional Program meets all the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education. Students therefore earn credits towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Graduates of the Professional Program obtain an Artiste de Ballet Diploma.

They leave with the confidence, talent, cultural appreciation and academic strengths needed to pursue post-secondary education and a career as a professional dancer.
