The Victoria Ballet Academy is an independent Canadian school which prides itself in offering both exceptional academics (elementary and secondary) and professional ballet training. We provide our students with the tools and leadership they need to master the delicate balance between art and academic achievement. Our mission is to educate children so that they may become graceful, intellectually developed individuals, ready for a professional dance career. Graduates leave the academy with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma as well as an Artiste de Ballet diploma. Coupled with self-confidence and strong cultural appreciation, our graduates are ready to excel in all of their future endeavors.

Dance classes, offered on weekends and evenings, are available to all children four years of age and older. Programs are also available for adults. Participants may take from one to eight classes per week, depending on age and level of training. The after-school dance program covers a broad range including ballet, character, jazz, modern dance and ballet gymnastics. Our program has several goals: to explore and expand a child’s talents, to develop physical, social and intellectual skills, to educate in the art of dance, to prepare for successful education at the primary school, and to identify and ready the most gifted students for the Professional Ballet and Academic Program.

Our After School Program is designed for after school, evening and weekend education of students in grades 1 to 12. It was established with cooperation of the Material Science and Electronic Engineering department faculty of the University of Toronto. The program has several goals: deep knowledge of Math and Science, development of child‘s imagination, creative thinking, logic and memory, prepare children for creative study at a university and provide high school students with additional opportunities to earn credits towards their Ontario school diploma.

The Victoria Ballet Academy was founded in 2003 with the participation and inspiration of Mrs. Victoria Mironova, M. Ed., one of the most distinguished ballet teachers in Canada. Only dance instructors of the highest caliber teach at our dance studios. Our superior dance program and learning environment exemplify the highest standards of ballet training offered in North America. Students are stimulated culturally and intellectually through their personal achievements, public performances, trips and competitions within Canada and abroad. The conduct and achievements of our students are a result of the superior standards we set for our instructors.
