Victoria Mironova (Evdokimova), M. Ed., Founder and Artistic Director

Victoria Ballet Academy was founded in 2003 with the participation and inspiration of Mrs. Victoria Mironova (Evdokimova), M. Ed., one of the most distinguished ballet teachers in Canada. Only dance instructors of the highest caliber teach at our dance school. The school’s aim is to produce professional ballet dancers and also to use ballet, in conjunction with the many subjects studied, to produce the best possible adults, more than ready to pursue an education at the best universities. Our superior dance program and learning environment exemplify the highest standards of ballet training offered in North America. Students are stimulated culturally and intellectually through their personal achievements, public performances, trips and competitions within Canada and abroad.

Victoria Ballet Academy offers after-school dance classes for students of all ages who do not attend our Day School. The weekend and evening dance classes cover a broad range of activities such as ballet, character dance, jazz and ballet gymnastics. Our program has several goals: to explore and expand children’s talents; to develop their physical, social and intellectual skills; to educate them in the art of dance; to prepare them for a successful primary education, and to identify and prepare the most gifted students for the Professional Ballet and Academic Program. The after-school dance classes provide high school students in Art Programs with an additional opportunity to earn credits towards their Ontario Secondary school Diploma.

The Academic After-school Program, designed for students in grades SK to 12 provides parents with an alternative day care service for young pupils from other schools. The Academic After-school Program also provides High School students with additional opportunities to earn credits in different subjects towards their Ontario Secondary school Diploma.
